We are currently awaiting delivery of light fittings from other suppliers to be able to commission a brand new LUTRON Lighting Control System for the main restaurant at the Mercure Hotel in Brisbane. The talented iLAB Lighting Designers kindly specified a smart LUTRON system for controlling all the light fittings included in their specification. Most of the fixtures are DALI driven and some circuits use phase dimming. Using two 16-zone DALI GrafiK-Eye QS and a slave ESN Adaptative phase dimmer, we were able to control the whole space with quite a lot less than 10K$.
We also supplied (on time...) a few OPAL LIGHTING downlight. We will be commissioning this project in the next week or so, so stay tuned for more photos!

Five large ceiling panels made out of Innowood battens, as well smaller intermediate smaller features across the width of the mall have been installed at the Mirvac Stanhope Village Shopping Centre in Sydney North West. One of the ceiling panels over the children playground includes Opal Lighting RGB strip lights controlled by a Lutron HomeWorks QS. A great synergy between three of Archinterface clients and a happy customer from Mirvac. We are currently doing another job for Mirvac on the Sunshine Coast with the same sort of Innowood profiles. Completion is due in June. 

Archinterface has been instrumental in securing a large installation of Innowood products for the upgrade of the Mirvac shopping Centre at Stanhope Village.

From the Sydney Opera House to the Museum of Contemporary Arts, Sydney was awash with amazing lights and sounds. A record crowd attended braving the rain which at time was torrential. It was all good fun and The Milky Way attracted its fair share of attention with people coming all the way from France to admire it!

The 300 crates have been prepared for the hanging cables, the LED strips supplied by Opal Lighting are being wired up (after a memorable soldering lesson on Wednesday night: you can see Thomas trying his hand to it under the my watchful eye and Jason fiddling around with the control gear...)
The last two nights were dedicated to - successfully - implement the DALI ESN module from LUTRON kindly supplied by Convergent Technologies. So we can expect about 80 crates to be ready and functional by the end of the week-end! Great team work!

A collective of young, emerging architects and designers  create their VIVID Festival installation, The Milky Way. The humble milk crate's importance and use throughout the ages as a practical container is used to create an expression of art, thought and experimentation, communicated through this motion-lit sculpture suspended by steel wire cables.
Milk crates a part of our culture as much as the automobile or the iPhone, but somehow they have become insignificant to our consciousness, consistent with most things humans lack interaction in.
The purpose of the entry is to illuminate Kendle Lane  and provide a spatial experience to the public with the neglected milk crate
The Sculpture is to be set suspended through the public alley, distributed by geometric pattern design and integrated with motion sensor lighting which will provide a unique interaction with the general public.

Archinterface is proud to be involved with Opal Lighting, Convergent Technologies/Lutron and the help of Vossloh Schwabe supplying the LED lighting strips, the control gear and the control system for this amazing lighting sculpture
