The company designs and manufactures a unique range of products that are found indoors and outdoors in domestic applications, hotel foyers, food courts, restaurants and office fit outs. The company is very mindful of energy efficient lighting and has been a pioneer in developing light fittings using a variety of fluorescent lamps and has developed an extensive range of LED lighting which is even more efficient than fluorescent lamps. Opal Lighting Systems also imports from Europe and Asia complementary products to their own manufactured range.
The company was also a pioneer in designing lighting profiles and are now one of a handful suppliers of LED linear lighting systems..
Opal Lighting Systems are also experts at providing a complete solution to their client's needs, including their own products, their imported products and other accessories like lighting control systems.

Opal Lighting was one of our first two clients when we started in 2012, so after almost 7 years of fruitful collaboration, we have jointly decided to part company, as we want to concentrate on our hardware, bathroom, washroom, balustrade and metal fabrics offer, and Opal Lighting has grown to a point where they need a full time person to do justice to their expanded portfolio of products.

At Art of Lighting we consider lighting an art form and art as an influence on the lighting industry: Sourcing lighting that embodies this concept and ensuring the artisan approach in the craftmanship and manufacturing quality of the final products selected.
Yvette Linton-Smith, Founder and Director of Art of Lighting, personally curated the lighting selected. Yvette has studied her Masters in Visual Arts and Illumination. Art of Lighting has brought together her parallel careers in lighting design and specification and as a professional artist with interesting results. Believing in the collaboration of art and technology, combining hand blown glass with LED luminaires, artists with manufacturers and architects with lighting companies will produce innovative design. Keen to encourage a cultural exchange by hosting the Yellow Dot Art Gallery and a feature lighting designer in the Lighting Gallery, Art of Lighting is building and highlighting the relationships between the industries of lighting, art, architecture, Interior design and current technologies.
